Rose (Bulgarian) Organic Hydrolat, Rosa damascena (5200) is a pure natural therapeutic quality hydrolat from Bulgaria. All our hydrolats are the pure and simple product from steam distillation. They do not contain alcohol or preservative. Hydrolates in principle have the same therpeutic properties and aromatic molecules as the essential oils. So they offer the same therapeutic remedies with the same active principles as their corresponding essential oils, but are water soluble
 During distillation of plants they are exposed to water steam. That way the volatile essences mix with the water steam. When during the cooling phase the EO are separated the water takes the energy of the EO.
 You can compare a Hydrolate to a Tisane (tea) with the advantages of

 No corrosive materials
 And therefore Hydrolates are not irritating to the mucuous membranes
